Vividly Ordinary

Synaptic Luminescence | Exploring Light, Color, and Connection

As you explore this collection, an ode to the radiant dance of color and light that shapes our world, may you find yourself immersed in the currents of inspiration and illumination.

One of my earliest points of inspiration was my grandpa. He was an artist of many mediums and my first teacher. He loved color and taught me all about the color wheel and the magic of contrasting colors. His words are a cherished echo through every exploration of color theory. From there I had many teachers of many avenues, exploring color theory from the lens of Cosmetology, Esthetics, makeup, spirituality, and explorations of the senses and creating experiences.

More recently, I explored color therapy glasses. These lenses unveiled a world of nuances, where hues were influenced by material and light, where I could see just how much blue existed within the shades of pink, and that seemingly restored vibrancy to withered roses.

Then, I revisited an episode of Abstract on Netflix, featuring the artist Olafur Eliasson. I was so intrigued by his use of light, color, space, and story. Everything, so deliberate, so artful. And that is what led to my own exploration, this digital collection — Synaptic Luminescence.
