Here and Now 

This collection is an invitation for you to join me on this odyssey of self-discovery and artistic exploration. The name is inspired by Hic et Nunc, the early NFT Tezos marketplace that provided both inspiration and platform and where I connected with amazing artists from all over the world, “Here and Now” encapsulates a pivotal moment in my artistic evolution. With Photoshop and Photography as my medium, each piece is a self-portrait of my essence, a snapshot of my world, frozen in time. 

In the constraints of and following 2020, I found myself drawn to the digital realm. This is a pivotal moment of chaos, change, growth… a rebirth. I found every form of community, of my career, my identity being taken away or drastically altered at a dizzying rate. I found myself unraveling years of trauma, deep diving into spirituality, and exploring art as more than a hobby that I got lost in a couple of times a year and thus birthed Kassandra Complex, my artist persona. 

These mediums created a unique challenge, they were both easier and harder to work with than all of my physical mediums. I had so many tools and assets at my disposal, but I also had a brand new medium and software I didn’t understand. Instead of sitting patiently and learning piece by piece, I would explore where I could until I was so frustrated by limitations that I would suffer through a tutorial. Physical mediums have always allowed me more control because they come so intuitively. Digital is truly a whole new realm. One I am so glad I explored.
